Take Home Technology
What can be checked out?
Middle Georgia Regional Library received Chromebooks that are available to check out at participating locations to provide easier access to technology and the Internet. The GEER grant has also provided a wide range of learning tablets (Launchpads) that offer a fun and interactive way for kids to learn and develop different skills. These Launchpads are designed to assist with various age groups and educational needs, ensuring every learner will be enriched.
"This program was assisted through a grant from the Georgia Public Library Service with federal pandemic funding from the State of Georgia Governor's Office, and is partially assisted with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act through the Institute of Museum and Library Services."
Who can checkout Chromebooks and Launchpads?
Patrons that have a PINES library card in good standing, fill out an agreement at the branch and present a valid picture ID have access to Chromebooks.
