When you’re in a Middle Georgia Regional Library branch, GALILEO automatically recognizes your authority to access its resources through authenticated IP addresses for our WiFi and computers.

As of July 1, 2023, GALILEO will no longer support password-only access for institutions that are set up for Single Sign On with OpenAthens. Middle Georgia Regional Library is set up for Single Sign On with OpenAthens.1

As a Middle Georgia Regional Library card holder, you can access GALILEO using your PINES account instead of using the old GALILEO password system by following these steps:

  1. Log into your PINES account with your library card barcode number and pin, or username and password.
  2. Select “GALILEO Virtual Library” from the top navigation bar.
  3. You will be redirected to GALILEO and will be logged in as your public library system.


Note:
If you do not have a PINES card and need access quickly or are not able to travel to your library branch, you can register for a PINES e-card.
